| So, what's Sound Station? Why is it usefull for a GX-700 user? |
| Sound Station is a windows application, a complete MIDI patch editor for the BOSS guitar effects processor GX-700. It may be used as a bank manager, to edit patches, and to save them into several different formats. SoundStation runs on any Win32 based platform. (windows 95, 98, NT) SoundStation is also a patch librarian. Using only the device (the GX-700) to store your custom patches you're limited to 100 "user patches". With SoundStation you have a storage system in your computer with which you can save as many patches as you want. To create new patches or to edit existing ones is easier, faster, and much more intuitive than ever with this application, as it is mainly a pro-spec patch editor for the GX700. The "sound card to MIDI" cable can be found at musical intrument stores, specially those ones with a lot of synthesizers shown on the shop window. If you don't specifically tell to the vendor you want a Sound Card to MIDI cable you'll probably end buying a standard "MIDI to MIDI" cable with which you will not be able to connect your GX-700 to your sound card MIDI interface. |
